Bearing noise.
Hiya I know this is gointo be difficult but any advice would be appreciated.
I've started noticing this droning noise on my 2007 e90 335d uk. It seems to be noticeable at around 70mph. I've tried the usual things such as turning the car left and right at speed to see if i can narrow it down. Unfortunately the noise doesn't seem.to change when I do this. It's a constant noise that increases depending on speed. I'm starting to think either the prop shaft bearing, maybe diff or gearbox. How would.i go about narrowing down the source of the problem? Do the wheel bearing on the rear make noises depending on the loading? I've changed the fronts in frustration. Thanks |

Could be diff noise. Have you ever changed the fluid? According to BMW it's covered by their 'lifetime fill' nonsense...
