DIY: BBK (big brake kit) for e90/e91/e92/e93
yo guys, here is a DIY big brake kit for e90/e91/e92/e93. i am going to try my best do explain what i did. everything was easy. the only thing i thought would be hard is bleeding the brakes. if you know how to bleed the brake line, you are good to go.
tools needed:
remove 2 18mm bolt thats hold the caliper. you can remove the caliper and use some zip ties to hang it somewhere. say hi to me loosen the 6mm hex on the face of the rotor remove the rotor. now pinch the brake line with the pincher. with a 14mm open end wrench unloose the brake line from the caliper. now you should have everything off. trim the corners with the dremel so the bigger caliper can clear the heat sheild. before after now reverse the install with the bbk. install the stainless steel brake lines if your kit comes with them. here some pictures putting the BBK on. tight the brake line on the caliper first and find something to hang it. now install the rotor. bolt the caliper on. the brake sensor does not work in BBK. just zip tie the sensor somewhere, so it wont get tangle while you are driving. now bleed the brakes. have fun!!! thanks ///Matt :rocks: |

Great job man.
So $3400 for just the fronts? There no way. What brand is it? I see JBT written on the rotor, but I've never heard of that company. I'm sure Brembo will come out with an application for e92's. How does it perform now?
