All metrics are against you....BMW's are sophisticated and car will perform much better with these systems left active.
You should go to BMW driving school or practice in parking lot to get used to the dynamics of car in snow/ice/rainy situations and you quickly appreciate their effectiveness/usefulness.
GL op.
I don't think you read the whole thread did you? My tires are fine and i wasn't speeding. Not all metrics are against me, there's a bunch of people out there that feel the same way as me about ABS, it's preference really..

I would never pay to go to bmw driving school lol what a waste of money! I have learned quite alot through my years of driving in parking lots testing the abilities of cars and quite frankly I appreciate having full control of the car on my own instead of relying on a computer.

People learned how to drive without these system's years ago and were fine, now you have people who rely on this stuff and don't know how to really drive for shit in dangerous situations.

I read half of this thread and I'm still not sure how is this happening.
I drive 328i RWD sometimes and 06 X3, both with high perf all season tires, in snow. Even with road (flat) covered completely in snow, of course driving carefully), I've never experienced ABS coming on like u said. I def try to do a brake check (kick in ABS) when all by myself to know how the car/snow/tires are behaving at that time. My brakes are stock.

see there. I don't think it references the ABS, but it's a good guide on what and where to find those sorts of options in the coding.

ABS has been in use for over twenty years. I think it's kind of fool hardy to think you could beat the computer. You might be able to achieve some success in certain situations. But in a split second emergency it's really not worth rolling the dice.

Be safe .
