Ebay Rotors?
Anybody have any experience with these rotors or am I just asking for trouble here?

I have no experience with them, but I'm sure they'll bring your car to a stop. One of my life's philosophies is that there are four things you never want to cheap out on: tires, brakes, mattresses and toilet paper.
If you're looking to save some money on brakes, try un-checking the cross-drilled option in your search criteria. It's not gonna improve braking performance, cracks will probably form around the holes and they may even cause increased pad wear. |

I would not mess with them on any n54 or n55 powered vehicle even stock. Stick with stock blanks of you want to save money anything else should not be cheaper if it's better put it that way. It's real scary when you hit brakes at high speed and it pulls shakes wobbles etc let alone catastrophic failure.

Ignore the urge to buy drilled/slotted. We could waste a few thousand words on the topic but lets cut to the chase.. Just DON'T.
Once we can agree on that go over to Rock Auto and look for good solid blanks. Centric High Carbon are exceptional and have given us up to 100 race hours on 2800lb cars while using full race Hawk pads. PS- Stop thinking about drilled and slotted. |

I read an article by Porsche that delved into this. Their cafe racer type customers expect drilled and slotted as it is, well, race car. They have to make the rotors somewhat larger to dissipate the heat.

Man I know, I also wanted to get some drilled rotors but man, couldn't justify paying like ~ 150 to 250 more. |

Check out r1concepts or the centric premium rotors on rockauto. Both are good quality and won't break the bank. I wouldn't gamble on ebay parts for something as important as brakes.
