Air Scoops? Near Kidneys?

I have a buddy after some of the above but he can't find any.

Can anyone shed some light and I'll pass on the info to him?

I got these ones off ebay, item number 280980742572 if you just copy and paste it in. they have different colours if you check out their other items. You can get more expensive ones, however, in my opinion they do nothing noticeable so no point spending out

Am I right in thinking they wouldnt make much difference for a 335d? And its more just engine bling?
