Coding Satellite Radio in 2012 CIC?
Have a 2012 CIC that has the built in tuner. Vin has Satellite prep $693. Half the research says I need a FSC code and the other half says I just need to code $693 out and add the sirusXM equipped one. I looked for a how to and could not find one for this year? Can anyone point me in The correct direction?
Found this info but not sure if correct for the 2012: My car definitely has the Sat Prep option. The VO lists $693. Here's what I coded: 1. Added $655 to CAS, FRM, and NFRM 2. Removed $693 from CAS, FRM, and NFRM 3. Turned SDARS to aktiv in KOMBI ECU These three steps instantly updated my iDrive and enabled the Satellite Radio option. But no luck with the ESN. ***EDIT*** Items in red I have not completed yet. Last edited by GodStang; 07-14-2022 at 07:57 PM.. |

You have to call up Sirius to get a subscription.
They need the ID on your hardware. Sat should appear on your Radio or Idrive is you did the coding correctly . |

I was able to add the $655 VO to CAS and FRM but not NFRM as it’s not there. I was able to remove $693 from the same. I can not find SDARS in Kombi. I Ctrl+F and I searched 1 by 1. Not sure why I am missing it.

I don't think sdars is in the kombi .
Why would it be? Whenever you change a VO all the modules that might be effected must be processed. |

Yeah that tell you how to change the VO but does not say anything
about how to excute the change on each module that requires the change if I am reading it right at first glance. Changing the VO is a different operation than actually propagating that information to each module. At least as far as I understand it. If you read the modules you are interested in it you should see the options generally present as Aktiv or nickt Aktiv. |
