Grimy Stray Cat VS. AW 330i Hood
There is an extremely grimy, diseased stray cat that has taken up residence on my vehicles' hoods. I'm not too concerned about my Toyota Land Cruiser, it already has plenty of "nature's pinstriping" so some paint marring on the hood is no big deal. My alpine white 330i, however, is not faring so well. As I washed it today, I found that the damn cat had shed hundreds of small spots of blood and grime (presumably from some parasite infestation) all over the hood. As nasty as it sounds, it was infinitely more difficult to get off the paint!! I must've scrubbed for an hour trying to get the crap off but there is still quite a bit of it left, even after using some cleaner wax. So I have two questions. 1, is there a chance that stuff etched into the clear coat or will a little more elbow grease and a buff get it off? 2, what's the best and easiest way to dispose of a stray cat?

I doubt it really went into the clear coat. Try clay or buffer. And the only way to deal with the cat is call animal control.

I'll try the clay bar. The trunk and rear bumper could use it anyway. No garage, unfortunately. I guess I'll call animal control. I was hoping for some "bowl of antifreeze" answers to reinforce my original plan. Humane I am not.

Thats just gross and dumb. Dont be cruel, a quick phonecall will handle the situation properly.

Fair enough, but the lack of no-kill shelters in the area would probably mean kitty will meet the same ill fortune either way.

Yeah, thats unfortunate. But hopefully its better then whatever disease its suffering from now. And much better then antifreeze death.

Plus you wouldn't have to dispose of the diseased carcass personally.

If I was that cat and saw a bowl of antifreeze sitting out for me, I'd shit on your hood and probably piss all over your garage too.

Wait, you were hoping someone would suggest to you a bowl of antifreeze? I don't even know where to begin, I guess you are too stupid to pick up the phone and call animal control.
I had a stray cat sit on my hood the other day and the thought of destroying the animal didn't even cross my mind. Then again, I don't live with an ego. |

Who do we root for in this mess? The dumb animal or the cat?
OP: Bring out a saucer of milk and put it on your neighbor's car. If that doesn't work, wax your car 150 times so the cat just slides off. |

There are sprays that cats and dogs really hate that's meant to keep them off of furniture or something . You could spray a little bit of it near or around your car that way the cat wouldn't really get close to it. Btw stray cats were never meant to live in human urban environments. They're probably infested with parasites and have all kinds of diseases. I would just put it out of its misery some way or another that isn't too gruesome.

A bit of a stretch but only for comedic effect. OP: Call animal control and go read a book. |

True that. My conscience doesn't need a hit like that.

Wow, didn't expect this kind of reaction. My antifreeze comment was an exaggeration made out of frustration from wasting an hour of my sparse free time scrubbing my hood. I can assure you there was never a bowl, nor did said fantasy bowl contain antifreeze. You can go hug your kitties and tell them the mean man wont hurt their cousin. As I said before, I will call animal control. Jeez.

I guess it's easier to live with yourself knowing that someone else is going to deal with the messy part (killing the animal). |
