today 3/28 "released to carrier and awaiting transportation to port of exit"

On the 25th it was in the paint shop with est. comp. date of the 26th, on the 26th it was on its way to the port of exit, on the 27th it was released and awaiting transportation, and today it told me it was on its way to the port of exit again. I hate the imprecision. I'm hoping it will ship either on the 31st or the next few days after that... don't know when the ships are leaving. I mean "das boats."

After a car is put on a ship for transport, will the 800 number update again with the shipping vessel name? or will it stay on "Awaiting for vessel at the port of exit" until the ship docks at its destination?

800 # will tell you that it is in transit and for you to contact your BMW Center for specific details, at which point you should contact your CA and find out what ship you're on and it's expected arrival date.

Oh, it's a blast to drive. The acceleration is a thing of beauty and with all the bells and whistles, it's just incredible.

The sport seats are sooo comfy and it feels so much more spacious than my Jetta even though the cars are roughly the same size.

I haven't had a lot of time to really drive around and play with all the little settings but it's the beginning of a beautiful relationship.

Think West Coast... since Colorado is closer to the west... I'm guessing your car and mine will be on the same ship. Hopefully one comes sooner rather than later.
