Coding to get audio through the quad lock connector

I was reading through forums about installing an aftermarket unit to improve Idrive and found that instead of the unit going into the aux-in in the center console for audio, you can code it to just go through the quad lock connector (which they say improves the audio quality) Though the forum was for CIC and I have CCC. I understand that they use different aftermarket units to add CarPlay so will it still work? Is the audio quality actually better? Here’s the link to the forum.

Quality is definitely better using the MOST loop compared to using Aux in. How much better? That's a personal opinion.
