Looking for Traction (big ol wheels)

Currently have an e92 335i with the m sport package on 19x8 and 19x9 rims,
225/255 stock sizes. Wanted to put the power down better so I want 295 or 305 tires in the back. Is this possible? car is slightly lower than stock and fenders are rolled. Research tells me 40mm offset in the back will do it for me to fit a 19x10 with a 295/30/19 tire on there. Thoughts?

Wider tires wont help much with straight line traction, Get rid of those 19's and get something with some sidewall

Yeah. Really need to go down to 18s or even 17s... 19s crap for traction. More stickier tyres are better than average wider ones/summer tyres. Look into getting AD08 or R888 etc.

Well I want a nice balance of traction and a good look. Was gonna get 19x10 rear and 19x9 fronts with 245/35 and 295/30. Don't run the car hard too often just want more meat from the tire hitting the ground

Still going to have the same amount of contact patch. Wider tire or not. Either get stickier tires or drop to 18's

So if I put a 5mm tire or a 300mm tire it has the same contact patch? That doesn't make sense to me. I know what I am doing just need to know if the rim will fit without rubbing as 19x10 et37 with rolled fenders rear and 19x9 et34 front
