when i had my accident on track at Spa last year, the offender buggered off.

realistically its for the Porsche owner to have the track insurance. i think there is no obligation for the Aston owner to pay up.

the GT3 owner could try and progress this through the courts, but i found this was futile to say the least.

it will be down to the AM owners concience to make him pay for the damage.

PS i am glad that my third party dissapeared from the track as i too was furious and i'm sure i would have got a Belgium criminal record for something or other!

Some nice pics!!!...and good write up Tony!

About that DB9 driver, wished he had broken a leg, those shitty drivers deserve to feel some pain! I would have pounded him on the grass and broke his nose and jaw before they stop me! if that happened to my car!

Great write up tone.

Great pics. The Aston looks fucked, and the turbo looks mullere to.

The Porsche driver unfortunately cannot make the aston driver pay.

Looks like a great day for all apart from the porker owner!

Aston driver really should have known better, however both of them should have taken the insurance. I know it's easy to say after the event so to speak, however I wouldn't take a ford focus out without someone insuring me. Wouldn't like the feeling of ruining some ones car, or even worse!

Great shots Tone!. Man thats really heavy damage to the DB9. Tone - thought normally when you are on a track, if there is an accident; you will need to cover for your own car no matter whether you hit someone or someone hits you? I was at Abingdon, and I remembered this? J

Don't know about the insurance J - I have year round cover so doesn't occur to me to think about these things!!! I don't think we do need insurance though - the indemnity forms the track admins make us sign absolve them of all liability anyway, so they don't care!!!

I found this thread linked from another forum, so I thought I'd pop in and say hi.

I was driving this one:

Was a great day, and very lucky with the weather. The forecast earlier in the week looked dire.

My other car's an E91 330d, so hopefully you'll let me on here

cheers,

Paul

Hi Paul - welcome to the forum!!! Lovely car you have - looked great going round the track. What forum did you find a link to here? I don't think we were mentioned on Pistonheads so doubt it's there?

PM me your email address and I'll send you the hi-res versions of the pictures I have of the breadvan
