Cars booked in for Saturday morning !!
Been looking at the E91 instructions and it looks like you'll have to cut a small section of your msport bumper to make it fit. Not sure if that prevents the original splitter going back on if you ever want to return it to stock but it looks like such a small part and if nothing clips onto the removed bit it should be fine but I'm not sure having not done it yet. Will be interesting to see what you or your fitter thinks.

Will pick mine up from RajB at some point and get it sent to paint. Hopefully the other trim bit that is out of stock will arrive soon.

Ok buddy, would be interested to know the price of what? Painting? Painted was £60 it was done by a friend who has done a lot of painting but has moved on 2 months ago from painting to a new job now so he has sold his unit so wouldn't be spraying a full car again, he still does parts such as diffusers and spoilers etc just in his works unit when he has time

Cheers for that dude. Would removal effect the original diffuser being put back (if you wanted to return to stock?). I've got my old 330 diffuser in the loft so I could have a route around and find it and have a look but if you knew off hand that would be good. Looking forward to seeing the new diffuser on your motor.

I'll get some pics tomorrow once it's on hopefully I'll have enough time to clean it as its filthy at the mo!
And I'm not sure if it could be put back on I guess it can be maybe just needs a little modification or something to hold it in place? I'm keeping my standard exhaust tip and diffuser with regards to returning to standard when I sell the car I will keep all my standard parts

Thanks for this and yeah likewise. I've kept most things off my 330i (including original exhaust and rear diffuser). Gonna return my 330i to stock when I decide to get rid. At the minute I have on the standard 335 diffuser which was a straight swap. Will swap this standard 335 diffuser for the 335 BMW performance diffuser instead and stick the standard 335 diffuser on eBay.

Ok I've dig out my old 330 diffuser and took a picture of it from behind with the clips. Using the instruction picture it looks like you might need to remove the bit where the last clip goes in. You might be able to cut around the slot so leave something of the slot in the bumper so the original diffuser can clip back in to it. I've tried to illustrate it below so hope it makes sense but hopefully tomorrow you can shed more light on things! Cheers!

Ok found another pic of what needs to be cut off. Hopefully the original diffuser can still be attached despite cutting the section off or being able to cut round the slot.

Although I think it will be fine if it is removed since the original diffuser will still be held in by the clip to the side of it and the self taping screw at the bottom of it.

Yes I understand what your saying buddy, just spoke with my guy who's doing it and he says he's fairly positive the old diffuser will still be useable in reverse when selling

That's a shame. Will be worth it in the end though!

Have you decided what you're going to do with the size trims?

Yes hopefully it will be!

And yes I've just got hold of my painter who is sourcing me some texture paint so I'm just going to cut up some plastic tomorrow night and he'll texture paint it to match the diffuser

Picked up my diffuser today from RajB who kindly sourced it from his contact at BMW. Will hopefully get it to paint next week and hopefully the other side trim piece arrives too. Not sure what the painter is going to charge but he wants to see the part first so will see what he says but I'm looking for other places too in case what he comes back with is unreasonable.

My painter Said £50 to me for it but I only had 20s on me so I paid him £60 as he's done plenty for me in the past, I don't think that's too bad of a ball park figure

That's a great price - even at £60!

I thought that, he charged £120 to do a bumper and said to me it's no way near the size of a bumper and is already primed although I said it needs masking and prepping still he was happy to do it at that price

He sounds like a good one mate.

I've just dropped mine off to paint so should hopefully be sorted this week. Had a mate of mine contact a few of his customers who work in the trade with regards to painting the diffuser and think because he mentioned it was a BMW part they ramped the price up. Quotes from £100-£150!

In the end found a place that comes recommended and local to me and they are doing it for £50 - can't wait to get it! Hopefully the other corner trim piece will show up soon but I'm still going to put the new diffuser on in the interim.

Yeah they're silly quotes for a small item like a diffuser that is already primed!
Yes I'm going to try and sort my corner trims tomorrow as I will have a bit of time

The diffuser if for an e90 comes black so you just have to mask it and paint the bits you want, I think e92 comes in grey so it's more work, up and down the country there seems to be varying prices on jobs, painting down south seems to be very dear compared to the north but things like window tinting down south can be got for a lot cheaper than up north
