SE > M Sport Suspension
Hi Guys
I currently have a 2005 330i SE. The car rolls way too much. I am looking to firm things up on a budget. I already have some Apex springs, but these will lower the car 30mm. I don't want to go this low (understand its relatively a small drop). So is it possible to purchase some m sport springs and use these with the SE dampers, is anything else required? |

You could probably get the Eibach anti roll bars, they aren't cheap, but cheaper than a B12 kit. A guy was selling basically the same but a different brand on the classifieds here not long back. That would help control body roll more than the stock bars. Or you could find some M3 bars on eBay, etc.
The front is easy peasy to fit, the rear is a bugger as you have to drop the subframe and then get a re-alignment done.

This ^^
Assuming your stock shocks aren't tired and clapped out. I'd avoid the Apex springs on account of them being a bit pony. Eibach Pro is a tried and tested solution. |

I wouldn't put lowering springs or m sport springs on SE dampers. Too bouncy. |

They are made in holland on the same computerised cold coiling machine as eibach & H&R. In what way are they a bit pony Russ? |

Yeah, let's not go there again mob17
Sorry, my mistake, I was thinking of Gmax being the cheap things ecp and the like used to sell. On our bmw forum, most, if not all the lads have gone with eibach or the reportedly firmer H&R. Personally, as Alpina use Eibach it seemed a good enough assurance they would be fine on my BMW's and hence I've always preferred them myself. |

Shocks and springs is what you need. Eibach or H&r, Koni all of them will be improvement.

Regarding dampers I'm umming and arring. I need to buy a house you see and have just purchased mv3s so am already in the bad books. How much does it lower compared to advertised ? I don't want to start crawling over speed bumps etc and what's the comfort like ? Worth it ? |

Mine has 19" wheels & it's a bit harsh over bumps & I do have to slow down for speed humps. Handles well, corners nice & flat with no body roll. Pic below so you can get an idea of how it looks.
