just called customer relations and spoke to Casey and she told me she was not sure but she verified thru her systems and stated "there are NO DIESELS INCLUDED in this recall" i asked if she was sure of ANY Diesles recalled and she said "she had no heard or seen any recalls for the DIESELS", I guess I still stand firm unless some DIESEL is recalled

Oh it is the scheduled vehicle check, came up on the i-drive. They said they are going to do the oil change as well.

I have had this car since August and this will be 3rd oil change, once before I picked the car up and now 2 since owning it.

Ahhh, good to hear man. You should enquire about the micro filter and fuel filter change.

Many people say it's done around that time too.

That's 3 oil changes in 7-8 months. How many clicks have you driven in that time?

14,000 km, I think they just like to change my oil. Plus I was told if you drive hard then you need change your oil more often. And I drive hard.

Just took in my d to the dealer to check in on a few things and when they read my key they it said "no open campaigns". My SA told me that this means that my car is affected (recall doesn't apply). He didn't know if it was because it is a diesel, but he did say that all cars that are affected have the SB show up on the key read.

Only thing I don't like about the letter is that there is no reference to my 335d Vin#. I guess I can just ask the dealership to confirm; as I have had the 135i only a few months ago...

Interesting that you said that. My SA just replied:

"Hey John i just ran the vin and no you do not have the battery cable recall. It only applies to the gasoline engines."

My car just came off the shop and NO my car is not included in that list if you may read the first few lines of the letter the car mentioned are gasser and the Diesel is not even mentioned, sounds fishy to me though that 135i has been the only DIESEL that has gotten the letter and noone else has umm BMWoA get your sheit together!!!

Once I verify with BMW, I'll post back. It very well could be that I received it in error for my previous BMW...

Interesting. I had a chance to chat with the dealership's mechanic during a drive last Friday (to replicate a rear glass panel rattle) and he said the diesels are exempt from the recall.
