Same issue
I had my angel eyes in for almost a year with no problem. Then one day I get the door open gong. Like the other post it's always a different door. Also I get the same issue with the he auto door locks trying to re lock after accelerating from a stop. I put ferrite chokes on the AEs to try and cut down on interference but that did not work either. So odd. Let me know if anyone has any idea other than oem. Oem is so lame I hate to have to go back.

I had the same issue and it popped up after 2 months. Had to return the AE and get some guaranteed not to throw codes.

Footwell control module
After doing some research I am feeling like a faulty footwell control module could be the reason for the random door ajar warning lights. If the FCM was faulty could it be just this one thing going wrong or would there be more syptoms?

I don't know if this has been mentioned in this thread before but if it has, apologies....
Cheap aftermarket LED lighting can emit EMI into the electrical system and cause intermittent door ajar errors. |

same issue but no recent headlight work
I'm having a very similar issue and was seeking any help. Full disclosure, I had my windows tinted one afternoon and this warning started shortly thereafter.
The door ajar alert comes on only when I'm driving. If i sit idle the warning does not come on. The warning shows my rear driver door as the culprit but all my doors are secure. The rear driver door locks/unlocks/functions just fine. I suspect my door actuator (which would be a relatively cheaper fix) but I wanted to see if anyone else has had this issue before. Thank you for your time. |

My E82 just started doing this. I don’t have aftermarket lights, car is fully stock. It’s not just one door doing it, it’s both. Sometimes does it when driving but mostly happens after car has been “sleeping” and I unlock it (as in first thing in the morning when I go to work). Quick vid of what it does: https://streamable.com/8ke5p |

Old thread, new problem for me. But my headlights are stock. It's just that all of a sudden, I started getting the Door Open warnings, it rotates which door is ajar (all are closed).
It seems worse when the car is wet after rain or a particularly dewy morning. Any more thoughts? EDIT: I found this link which says it could be covered under a special extended warranty on this part: https://bimmerscan.com/bmw-footwell-module-frm/
