** UPDATED**
ok... here we go...

just picked up my 2007 E92 335i w/M-Tech Coupe @ 140K in Toronto Canada.
Been driving a 2014 F15 X5 35D w/M-Sport with no engine mods and some minor cosmetics mods and been loving the drive of it even tho is a 2 ton SUV.

Got a text from my mechanic/close friend that the dealer beside him just got in a Alpine White 335i Coupe and since i told him im looking to get back into the hobby again he thought this might be a fun toy to do so (last year was sharing a rx-8 w/ a friend on the track and enjoy it alot the 3-4 times we went)

We did our full inspection of the car and the only issue we saw were - leaking oil pan gasket, index 8 injectors (so recall has been done cant get on the new index 12 recall =/) and besides that zero mods done to the engine and suspension. oh and the bad on cosmetics was the previous owner did some ugly wrapping of matte carbon on the outside trim and roof. ugly BMW black and red badgeing on all 4 rims and front/back emblems.

so after alot of negotiation back and forth i believe i got it a good price CDN and the journey begins. below is the list of parts to be done all at once.

This will be a summer/weekend car that will see the track anywhere form 3-5 times a year for fun.

Stuff that is done
Engine:
- Walnut Blasting
- VSRF Race 7.5" intercooler
- downpipes
- charge pipe w/ BOV
- VRSF OEM location silicone Inlet w/ dual cones
- VTTO Outlet

Wheels/Suspension/Brakes:
- Stoptech Rotors w/ basic Street pads for now (might go HP+ but dont want the noise)
- HSD Monopro Coil overs
- Monroe 907984 Strut-Mate rear replacement
- Rip off plastic dipped OEM 189 rims which im keeping for winters
- Apex ARC-8 Matte Bronze
- Front: 18x9" ET30 w/ Nankang - NS-2R 180 wear 235/40R18
- Rear: 18x9.5" ET35 w/Nankang - NS-2R 180 wear 265/35R18

Exterior:
- Black Gloss Roof
- Black Gloss Trim
- Lower Front Mess Matte Black
- PSM High Kick carbon fiber wing
- rear Msport LCI bumper w/ carbon diffuser already in apline white and dual tips for exhaust included
- change all the badging to oem BMW badges
- LED Halo Bulb
- LED yellow fog
- PSM style high kick spoiler carbon
- Carbon Fiber M3 style Mirror Covers
- Smoked Side market and LED indicator
- tinting windows 28%

Interior:

- LED lights replacement all around (got some replaced but not all)
- replace Gray Interior to Black (still working on it.. need front seats now...)
- Android Head mimicing ID6/7/NBT unit w/ Apple Carplay using OEM CCC knob and still have steering wheel controls

Pending - maybe in or planning to buy
Engine:
- Oil Filter housing gaskets
- Oil Catch Can
- upgrade to bigger and dual oil coolers
- Bimmerlife Audi R8 Coils (going this route so i dont have to upgrade MSD80 MOSFETS)
- LUX 335iS clutch
- mFactory SMFW 21lb 8 Bolt
- some sort of upgrade exhaust.. dunno what to do (circut werks, VRSF Street, Magnaflow etc etc)
- Got all the parts to build a LPFP stage 2 w/ Walbro
- Front Air Scoops
- viv autoparts 17T turbos
- ecs turbo install kit
- new gaskets on all oil and water lines to and from turbo

Suspension/Wheels/Brakes:
- F30/F80 front calipers and rotor upgrade (370mm rotors)
- Front Control arm M3 refresh and Rear
- Swaybar's front and rear Eibach 28mm front and 15mm rear
- Megan Racing Trailing Arms\
- front and rear subframe insert for bushing to stiffen them up

Exterior:
- M4 double slip gloss grills
- Side Diffuser to be put on
- air scoop intake

Interior:
- Suede Shift Boot
- Carbon Fiber Handbrake Handle

Last on the list and not sure what to do as they are not a must right now, open to opinions:
- audio upgrade? subs under seat upgrade? dunno.
- if i go with a M3 style front bumper LCI do i have to worry about fitment on my pre-LCI front?

have not taken much pictures yet but heres two for now

So the tear down has begun!

Some pics and progress of how it's coming. Only day 2 of year down and removal of cosmetics on the car
still waiting for the OEM emblems to come in to i can replace them.
have a bit of a hard time getting the sensors off the cat.
now figuring out how to do the dual oil coolers and venting for the driver side. as the passanger side has an OEM vent but the driver sides does not. =/

And it continues...

Front suspension now on
Intercooler, inlet, oulets are in.
Oil pan gasket and new bolts are in.
Putting in a new coolant line since whole front is off (pn: 11537541992)
Went with stoptech rotors and posi-pad street for now. Looking for a f30 msport or performance front calipers as an upgrade. Till then these will have to do

Pending vrsf cones... think I can use oem air box on the inlets untill then?

covid projects are 'somewhat' nice if you have a job with reduced hours

Give me an other covid off time with $$$ and that e91 will get a N54 drivetrain (I hope it will never re-happen, the covid part)

Op for the HU part, yeah android stuff can be very nice. If you can get a reputable device with 4gb+ ram, those are way more complete than the OEM CCC or CIC. Maps are always uptodate, and waze is a must imo.
You can also run a complete engine monitoring with a OBDII dongle.

For the sub part, a box in the back fender . I got mine fiberglass , 10'' type R alpine and a auto-on ( no remote wire) mtx 300.2 amp. I reduced the low frequencies in the OEM speakers to avoid distortion and increase the gain for the sub. Sound is 100x better

I run MMP Inlets with a Dinan Inake (stock intake box bottom) and it works.

Also curious on the CSF rad to inlet clearance when you get it installed

Thanks for the info on the stock intake box . Hope it's the same with vrsf inlets.

Here are some pics of the csf rad install and clearances (haven't put the pipes in yet nor the fan will add more once that's done

Update so far for today

Got the old nasty matte carbon wrap off yesterday.
New gloss black wrap on trim and roof done.
Interior door panels off and working on the interior conversion to black interior. The grey is just super nasty

Car being button up. Will try oem filter house on the inlets as I wait for the cones to still come in.

A bit tired and the mech were also

Got the twist ties on the inlet on the front
It now avoids the pully enough. Let's see how it runs

She did start up today and we check everything before getting ready to do oil pan gasket. She purred very nicely with the FOB

Also as they worked on getting her ready to drop the subframe I continued to work on the interior. The panels didn't come with door switches so I just spray painted the grey ones to matte black. Using the same spray can for the front bumper grill.

All for now. See how the next few days are.

Also ended up getting a CF PSM style rear wing.

quick update:
its on the road... finally
picked it up at 8ish and just drove it home but gonna go out for a night run now.. everything sounds amazing. no squeeks, no boost leak (we did find out at the charge pipe/throttle body and it was because we forgot the seal lol)
will post pictures tomorrow after i wash it...

got the whole interior swapped over to black BUT the front seats. my OEM grey seats were sport seats.. the conversion i brought wasnt sports seats.. so i kept just hte front grey for now.. i can live with that.. rather have sport seats.

Nice progress! Curious though, arent VRSF inlets known to sometimes collapse under vacuum overtime which could potentially lead to turbo failure? Or did they fix that defect?
