Oil sensor range

Hey everyone!

Does anyone know the range between Minimum and Max on E90 325i (2006) oil
sensor?

I've recently purchased the car, and the oil amount went from MAX
halfway to MIN after ~4200km (about 2600 miles). I'm not entirely sure
how much oil that is and if I should be worried about it.

Could anyone help me out with that?

500mL.
Between min and max is 1L or 1qt depending on your region.

It's been nearly 5000km and the sensor shows 1/4 to minimum.
Should I be worried? I haven't seen any leaks while inspecting the car so the oil must be getting burned somehow.
Is such consumption acceptable? What should I check?

To burn less than a litre in 5000km is absolutely fine in my view.

completely normal. and add 1qrt (1 liter) when the car says you to do so. not earlier. the car/engine is designed to give you a warning.

So it's about 700mL in 5k km if I am correct, and if you really were to the maximum level. I think that's slightly more than normal, but acceptable, in any case. Mechanics always told me that about 1L for 10K km, it's fine. Anyway, it depends on the engine too. I know that there are some older VW engines that eat oil like crazy, but some says that it's a "caracheristic", not an issue.
