I followed this DIY from A to Z including coding for but nothing is showing up on my CIC screen. I put gear on Reverse and screen doesn't change from navigation to backup camera or PDC screen. Can someone point me what would be the problem in this case?
Hardware was bought from same eBay Seller as OP bought. Soldered connection and made sure they are well connected. Car spec: 2009 BMW M3 with CIC.16 6MT No PDC!! Coding I have done to enable it: Configure FA $3AG on CAS and NFRM MACRO_PDC nicht_aktiv -> aktiv MACRO_REARVIEW aktiv RVC_CIC wert_23 MACRO_L6_PARKMENU aktiv PDC_DIRECTION vertikal MACRO_PDC_TOPVIEW aktiv TVC_WIDTH_0C wert_02 |

Well after almost 2 years working flawlessly, the picture from my camera is starting to look a little out of focus. It hasn't had any impact or damage that I am aware of or can see, the picture just looks a little blurry and not quite focussed correctly. Whether water has got into the unit and caused this, or the camera is just coming to the end of it's life i'm not sure - i will try disconnecting it and leaving it in a jar of rice or similar in case it is moisture causing it. It's still perfectly usable , just not crisp and clear like it has been up until now.
Will update this if i resolve it, but if not it looks like a new camera is required. |

Thanks for the info. Did you replace just the small camera or did you get a whole new boot latch handle with camera built in?

Hi all,
Hoping you can assist, (E90 335i 2009) I'm from Australia and followed the European assignment, I finally got around to coding after having the rear camera installed for some time. Unfortunately I got nothing on the camera window display when in reverse, my PDC is still working. One thing I've noticed, the TV works via CIC fine while the car is running off the battery, however when the car is on, and set to TV - I can see the rear camera interfering with the picture - its fighting between the TV and the Rear camera. It looks like the unit has power even when not in reverse. - Is this normal? Can anyone offer any advice? should I follow the North America pin-out? (24 and 21) Coding Used, $3AG to the VO in the CAS and NFRM (no FRM option) MACRO_PDC aktiv MACRO_REARVIEW aktiv RVC_CIC wert_23 MACRO_L6_PARKMENU aktiv PDC_DIRECTION vertikal I'm using the same emulator as the OP Thanks in advance! |
