I have a square set of Alzor 030 18x9 et35 wheels on order for my 2007 335i e93.
What is the biggest square tire I can run without rubbing on a stock suspension? How big of a spacer can I run to get the wheels as flush as possible without rubbing? Thanks for your help! ECSTuning any insight? I tried to PM James but got an error message. |

I run 255-35 18 with alzor 030 18x9 on my 09 e92 with factory sports suspension, supreme power drop hats, turner fixed camber plates, 15mm spacers all around, and I bent the tap on the front struts to lower a 1/8 inch to make up for the added height from the fixed camber plates. Anyways no rubbing unless turned all the way to lock in a bumpy parking lot. Only issue I had was the turner fixed camber plates didn't play nice with the supreme power drop hats, the nuts that fastened the camber plates to the strut mount were too long, and when I was turned the right amount and hit a small bump I would get a metal on metal clank.

Well, just in case anyone wonders this again in the future, I thought I'd update my experience.
I bought the Alzor 030 18x9 et35 square set from ECS back in November and they just barely arrived (in April!) because of delays from COVID. I bought a set of 245/40/18 Michelin pilot AS 4s from Discount Tire and took the wheels in today to get mounted. Test fit of the wheel on the front was close...like 1-1.5cm from the strut. They called me out to the garage and told me it was real close. They'd install them, but no guarantees about rubbing. Lock to lock and over bumps, no rub. The fitment is much more flush than my style 185s. Overall, quite pleased. I'll report back after a while. |
