Go ahead and laugh but basically I'm looking for a "salvagable" M57 I6 diesel (200kw+) for a swap into a different vehicle, meaning I am looking for a dressed (w/ancilliaries) M57 diesel and ideally with ECU and wiring harness.

I am willing to buy an entire carcass if need be, I thought I would start here. For engine and harness alone I would like to spend <$2000, for entire carcass it really depends on the condition and other specifics.

I have an 11 335d and a X5 35d, will be importing the GS6 but due to logistical issues I would prefer to source the M57 domestically.

I am located in NE Georgia, and would prefer to travel within AL, TN, SC and NC if possible.

I'm interested in what you're doing with it. There have been a few 335D swaps done but not many. I'm looking at doing an E61 335D swap myself.

Thank you, I have really taken a liking to this platform, the 6HP will last some time but I am very excited to convert to 6 speed when possible.

This engine I am looking for is going to be planted in a Jeep, there is already one gentleman in Florida who has done the swap, however, he has used a M57 from Europe (single turbo, DDE4 I think).

The US spec M57 would need absolutely no tuning, its already at optimal power and torque for the application and suited for the manual transmission (AX15).

Yes! I just wish they were easier to come by, its a bit annoying being forced to source the transmission overseas. Although, really not that expensive from what I've seen ($500-1000 USD)

I am focusing on getting the engine first for my swap!
