Custom E90 Wide Body Build
The last several months I've been working on a custom wide body for my e90 and the end is nearing. I only work on the car with my spare time (which isn't much) so it's taking me a while. Probably have 150 hours in this project thus far... Everything I made with my own hands, except the rear bumper which is an oem ///M that I had to widen because it wasn't wide enough for what I was after. The quarters and fenders are about 2'' wider per side. All the bumper work was done with a polyurethane welder, no fiberglass anywhere on this build. I cut and widened the oem m-tech front bumper, which I've redone a few times because the body lines didn't turn out as pretty as I wanted. For you number guys out there, the front will fit up to a 295 tire and the rear a 335 width tire for a rub free fitment. I'm going to run a 275/315 staggered setup for street because this car is daily driven. Or will be... Hope to have the car painted in the coming weeks. Next on the list is to fabricate a bolt in roll bar, get some fixed buckets, harnesses, and a set of Forgeline wheels. And yes... I track this car. Let me know your thoughts fellas.
I will continue to upload more pictures as the progress goes on. Last edited by clgrubb144; 01-28-2015 at 12:23 PM.. |

Now this is what I like to see . Something original and not the normal liberty walk over-fender kits that are everywhere right now. Those are tacky, this is not.
OP, I am excited to see the car complete. Have you ever thought of possibly turning your finished product into a kit to sell? I'm sure there would be a decent sized market for this. |
