any way to tell if bbs rims are authentic?

is there any way to tell if bbs rims are authentic by looking at them from the outside with the tire mounted without taking the wheel off the car? particularly bbs lms?

basically is there anyway to tell if bbs rims are authentic without taking the wheel off?

bbs engraved in the area near the lugnuts. dimensions and offsets engraved there as well. the forged insignia is also engraved. All of the rivets around the face of the wheel have BBS engraved on them. Dimensions of the center cap are unique... forget what the authentic sizes are. If they have original stem caps, those also have BBS on them. Also, if they have original lugnuts, those also say BBS.

We all know how seemingly authentic $30 Coach bags are nowadays down to the tags....with rims that can be north of $700 a piece, and human nature being what it is, isn't the obvious answer that the source of the rims determines authenticity?

Not necessarily. Even if it comes from a reuptable source, I would still check. If i'm shelling out that much, I would check.

To the OP, the center of the wheel should have the stamping. I haven't seen a bbs replica that has this.
