245/35/19 19x9.5 up front, will it rub?
Like the title says, hoping i will be able to run a 245/35 on a 19x9.5 +35 wheel in the front of my 07 e92 lowered on H&R sport springs. Thoughts/advice appreciated. Thanks.

It will.
I have the same setup almost. 19x9.5 +33 lowered on coilovers that are much stiffer than your H&Rs. Unless the e92 is different than my e90 up front it will rub on the outside fender even with significant neg camber. I also rub on the strut body, but the coilovers are much thicker than the stock struts. |

One member here had 9.5 et 35 front without spacers and no problems, but those were 18 inch maybe there is a difference between 18 and 19 inch. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=478069 You might need to adjust more negative camber to front, but you cant roll your front fenders because those are plastic. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=602677 http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...28#post5840028 |

To be clear for everyone
9 +39 is 1mm away from the strut. 9.5 +33 is 1mm away from the strut. 10 +26 is 1mm away from the strut. do the math right you can find any spec wheels to fit up front with or without spacer. 1mm is all the clearance you need. OP your 245 will be subject to rubbing which you should not risk due to plastic fenders. Theres not enough stretch angle on that setup to prevent fender damage in the event you hit a hard bump at highway speeds.

Can you explain how this car has 18x9.5 et 35 apex arc-8 wheels and those don´t hit struts. No spacers in those photos. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=478069 That car has Hr sport springs/koni yellows. Soon i can test fit it myself. My Apex arc8 18x9.5 et35 front are on the way. |

1mm is fine until that freeway pothole bends the crap out of your rim and that 1mm gap is closed in a hurry. |

Yes youre right, coil over perch would be a different story. But OP and that other guy im assuming are on lowering springs.
This was how low before i could go with a coilover setup. You can continue to speculate on how 1mm gap will bend a rim. Youll bend a rim before crushing your wheel bearings to close that 1mm gap. Below is a paper thin clearance thats daily driven and not a "functional" garage queen like some. So its been done, i only voice my opinion thru experience.

^^^ Awesome info guys. I installed the wheel today to see the gap, and i have about 2mm to work with from the strut bar. Hopefully I can squeeze my 245/35 tire in there and we're all set. And yes I have H&R sport lowering springs. Thanks again guys.

I've fit a 255/30/19 8.5x40mm on stock suspension.
I don't think 245 fits on a 9.5. Some size calculators say yes and others no.... If it does then that's what I'll go for also...

Good..I kinda knew it will fit, but wasn´t sure anymore because all the conflicting information.
Still have to wait couple of weeks to get my wheels.Which sucks because winter is gone and i have to drive with my studded tyres on dry tarmac. |

WELP. It does NOT rub. the wheels clear the strut by about 2mm, and the tires clear the outside fender just barely. Looks good, Pics to come.
