Walnut blasting in Atlanta

Looking to get a group buy on this in the Atlanta area. A bunch of folks did this in December with great results and very good pricing. Here's a link to their thread:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=921634
We need about a dozen folks to get the best pricing. Please respond here and let's see if we can get enough interested parties.

5-22-14 update: I've sent a PM to everyone that has responded with the pricing and Solo's info. If anyone else wants in, please PM me or someone else on the list. As we get the work done, let's communicate back to the thread on the outcome. Looking forward to feeling the difference....

7-10-14 Update: Solo is saying they only have 7 deposits. If you have made one thanks, if not and you said you were going to, please do so or PM and let me know you can't. Solo has actual names and all I have are screen names so I can't match them up. Let's get off our tails and get this done, we only need 3 more deposits.

7-22-14 Update: It appears we now have 10 deposits so we should be able to start the scheduling now. Please let the group know how it goes as far as time it takes in shop as well as post blasting performance. I seem to recall before Solo was taking photos of what it looked like with before and after photos.
Thanks to all involved!!!

i might be interested, depending on price. Unfortunately recent waterpump and starter failures took a nice chunk out of my car money, lol.

Only 7 replies?

Come on people, we need 5 more to get a group buy deal.

If you drive an N54 or N55, you know your car needs it.

Bump.

I was the last one on the initial GB and the price was very good; less than I was expecting. And Solo did great work, one of the more impressive shops I've seen.

4 hours at Solo. Basically I got there at 8:30 am, they were finishing up some other stuff so they didn't even pull the car in until after 9 am. Then the car sat for a while longer while they were getting ready. Then they got to work and everything was done and put back together at 12:40.

They told me 4 hours when I made the appointment and they came in right on time. I think if they had nothing else going on, they could have done it in 2 hours. But 2 days seems excessive; it will sit around for most of the time. There's no way the job can take 2 days. They just have to pull the IM.

The car has to sit a while to cool down, but 2 days is too long. Shouldn't take more than 4-5 hours including the cool down.

No they won't, unless you are really good friends with the Service Advisor or Manager, or unless there is a trouble code in the computer and they attribute it directly to the dirty valves and intake.

Is this still going on? My car is sitting at the dealer. They are doing the service Monday unless I can find another place by then.
