Clear Seatbealt and Airbag warning light...

Saturday I took the seats out to re-wire my subwoofer to the underseat speakers. But I didn't realise I had to take the battery out before unplugging the seats!

So now I have the annoying Seatbelt and Airbag warning light constantly on the dashboard.

I got the cable to be able to do these myself, but haven't had the time to install INPA Ediabas on a Windows 8 yet, so thought i'll visit a BMW specialist and just get them to clear it.

Found bmwspecialistreading only to find out they want £75 just to clear the error messages!

Does that price sound fair to you guys?

Anyone else you guys would recommend around Reading?

Sounds to me that's about the minimum charge (Coopers in Cobham charge £80) for a diagnostic check. Rip off merchants!

HOLY CRAP!!! That's ridiculous!
I went to my local independent BMW specialist who just wanted a few beer tokens for it. In the end it turned out I had a real fault that needed fixed. Car is still under warranty so they said no charge as you use us for your cars servicing needs.
Off you pop to BMW, see you in a few thousand miles for an oil change

I've used Munich Motors in Wokingham once and they were pretty good.

http://www.munichmotors.co.uk/4556.html (They're website isn't great but gives you the contact number)

Can these be cleared using the OBD port, a bluetooth OBD connector and the free Android\IOS apps? I've used those to read the codes and I've seen the option to clear them but never needed it.

Edit: I used David Gardiner (BMW Specialist) in Reading for years but not recently. http://www.192.com/atoz/business/rea...828b3844/comp/

Many thanks budd! Got in touch with Munich Motors, they quoted £15 which is quite reasonable and the sort of figure I was looking for.

Will go get it done after work

I'm pretty sure it can be cleared with the bluetooth OBD connectors too, but I haven't got that either

Thanks AJ, a little late now thou....

Went and got it done at Munich Motors, can't recommend them enough. Very knowledgeable and friendly, they even waited half hour after their normal closing time for me.

Thats £60 added to the 'mod budget'
Thank you all for your input
