I'd be down for that, too, but just checked the tracking number for my charge pipe and it looks like it won't be here til Monday. Sucks.

Looks like be spending this weekend replacing all the mods I removed for last week's dealer visit instead of installing new toys.

Sounds good! We can make it a mini-meetup

Where's everyone located? I know you're in Plano. I'm in East Dallas near Downtown.

I will be out of town next Thursday so how about we try a meet on the weekend? Saturday afternoon/evening maybe? What's everyone think about that? And, yeah, suspension is ordered and should be here today. Just gotta make an appointment with COBB to install it

Hey Wookie,

Is Cobb the installer of choice? I am about to pull the trigger on some coilovers and was gonna call Stett. What does Cobb charge?

Stett is a good choice also, but I've had Cobb to the majority of my install work. I was quoted around 800 including alignment and ride height setting. It's about an 8 hour job @ 85/hr so.....

What coils did you go with??

Haven't ordered them yet because I have a 6 week wait on my Forgestars, but as of today (cant make up my mind) I am going with the single adjustable TC Kline TruMatch or whatever they are called. You?

Does Cobb do the alignment inhouse? That would be enough to make me choose them.

Yes, I'm pretty sure it's in house. I went with AST 4100's. If you're still in the market, I'd highly recommend looking into them as well. Also, have you been out to a meet before? I just set one up for next Saturday, try to make it out and meet some of the locals!

I just saw that. I work out of town during the week so it will be up to the wife if she wants to attend. She doesnt like me running off these days since all we have is the weekends...blah blah, lol.

I may get the ASTs with the new strut mounts and then do the install myself. Isn't that usually the hardest part of the install, getting the fronts out? Are the ASTs significantly better than the TCKs?

I don't know anything about TCK's but here's what I do know about AST's

1)They are LOCAL!
2)Mono-tube shocks that can be rebuilt on the cheap LOCALLY
3)The 4100's are on clearance sale (well, they were through yesterday)
get in touch with Brian Hanchey at AST in Plano (www.ast-usa.com) and see if he'll extend the sale.

Cobb does all of the alignments for Hanchey's track car. That should tell you all you need to know. They did the install on my coils last year- great job!
