the sales reps always have ego's. Talk to the sales manager if you have a chance. He'll want your business.

If one guy doesn't want my business, I'll ask one of his colleagues just so he feels like an ass for losing the business (and commission). I'm not afraid to make it a point that I'm not satisfied with a sales rep.

If he's a good one (and he's still around), he'll be the one I ask for every time I'm looking to seriously purchase.

Absolutely this ^
Of course, there are dealerships that are 100% full of DB sales people, but normally there's at least one decent person in the place.

Why not? Bay Auto Zone is quite good.

2007 335i  [5.24]
Question

Due to the limited inventory and "snobbishness" of the dealers...........
I am wondering if anyone here has ever bought/traded their BMWs from different provinces (BMW CPO). If so, care to share the experience?

Thats all that car is worth. Nobody wants them. I had my 09 335 e92 for sale for over a year. Wholesale value is $21-22,000. Too many around, reliability issues and BMW keeps offering huge discounts on new ones.

You think? I can see that being the wholesale value on an '07 but on an '09? When I traded in my '07 335i last May, Pfaff initially offered me $17K. I didn't react well to that and we ultimately agreed on $20K. I then saw my car being listed on autotrader for $24.5K so I didn't feel too badly about the trade-in price.

Selling a car privately is a HUGE PIA. I would rather lose a few grand by trading it in then deal with the enormous headache of dealing with tire kickers and deadbeats.

Any positive/negative substantial feedback is greatly appreciated.
Back in '07 I tried dealing with them when I was looking to buy a preowned '04 MB E-class... They wouldn't budge with prices... They wouldn't show me the car proof and I saw the shabby job on trying to fix the ripped out interior... Overall, found them very shady...

Ended up buying from a MB Oakville with Star Certified and half the KMs for only 2Gs more....

Awesome car...

I know at Endras out in Ajax sells their trade-ins through a 50 used car dealer online auction directly.... Whatever bids they get... They give to you.... And their are lots of used car dealers out east that sell older models bimmers to locals...

I agree 100%. I saw cars like mine on Trader and one at Pfaff for $31-$35,000......unfortunately thats the asking price. Wholesalers don't want them. Mine had 87,000km so that plays a big part.

I agree 100% people really need to evaluate how much time they will spend selling their car vs. losing a few grand on the trade-in. I also factor that in how much I will need to spend on repairs, parts, maintenance in the near future.
