# of layer for body paint
I got a deal for paint full kit of Rieger E92 for $1000 (including installation). It's a 2 layer of OEM paint+ 1 layer of clear coat. Is this a good deal?
Thx. |

theres no such thing as oem paint. you can call the dealer and ask. body shops use 3 kind of paint, glassurit, dupont and ppg. this kit take alot of modifying to make it fit properly. so for 1k, i think its a great deal.
edit: 2 layers? i dont think that enough. |

i think he means 2 stage paint
meaning base coat and clear coat i dont think only 2 coats paint and 1 coat clear if that is the case your paint will peel in a month or so usually i put down atleast 4 coats of base(depending on the color) than i apply 4 coats of top grade clear coat |
