JB+ Help

I just installed my jb+ and after about 5min of riding my car started to shake and the service engine soon light came on, after about another 10min of driving the light went away, but the car is still shaking when i come to a stop and the pickup feels almost slower than stock. Is this just part of the the tune getting used to my car or what???

You may want to take the tune out and make sure all the pins are securely in place. Or the extra power may have pushed your HPFP to fail.

did you unplug the battery or wait until the car went into "sleep mode" before you installed the JB+? If you did then remove the JB+ and see if it still does it...

I never unplugged my battery during install or removal. I just let the car sit with the hood open and the doors locked for about 10-20 minutes.

OP, did you break any of the clips during the install? It sounds like there is a break in the connection between your JB+ and the TMAP sensor. And I'm leaning towards this cause this happened to me and one of the wires was not fully clipped into the JB+ and I was experiencing the same issues as you.
Or the second reason may be the extra boost pushed an already failing fuel pump over the edge.

I waited 16 mins just to make sure, but could this actually cause the car to do this?

EDIT: No no clips where broken, but the side of the jb+ that has the logo on it is facing down, is this the right way?

are you on default setting? 75%? 100%? if you are not in default, did you do solenoid bypass? or maybe your injectors are going out?

take the JB out, and see if the car does the same thing, if so then you know there's problem with the car, not the tune. but by what you described, it sounds like some common fuel system malfunctioning. last time when i had mine situation very similar like yours, turned out ALL injectors were bad, and it DID trigger the tuner code in that case. so get a BT tool and scan to make sure you are in good shape.

I really don't know which way the logo should point, I had a beta version with no sticker. Maybe Mike could answer this question.

It only plugs in 1 way.

Just curious you said you just had your HPFP replaced? Was it with the new 943 part number?

yeah it for sure sounds like your hpfp is on its way out. to check for the part number your SA should have given you a printout of what the dealership did and the part number for the hpfp should be on that paper. i just got mine replaced last weekend and i was in the same situation as yourself. oh and yes the jb + logo should be facing down because thats the only way for it be installed properly.

Since you have a 2010, I would check for codes before taking it in just to be on the safe side.

wow so its the new hpfp, that interesting I wouldve thought that the hpfp problem was fixed with the new hpfp. it could also be your coil pack or injectors since you didnt mention anything about long cracks.
