my stock brakes are wearing out and i can tell they are kinda fading.... a good excuse (opportunity) to get the BBK come in, isn't it =) i still have the extended cost free maint plan on my car but figured stock one has hella dust, and if i needed to stop from a blink, they bite very hard and not too comfortable as they are if the whole system is total stock from dealer.

Eric,
I'm thinking of changing things up and going with the BME Performance Exhaust. I'm thinking it's going to be quieter than my AE. What's your take on it as you've heard both? I remember your car, but I beleive you had extra respnators installed so it tamed it down some. Also, do you think Cyba tips will change the sound at all?

hey Will, no, the bmw PE has no resonator, it has x-pipe instead. it really comes to the tune and how it controls the wastegate open/close. last time when you sat in, i believe it was still JB4. but now with COBB V300, the overall tone is much louder. for the tips, honestly i don't know if that will change the sound... it may, but don't quote me on it. i heard single-wall exhaust tips will give you a better sound than double-wall....

Thanks man. I am looking for the right rims. I'm not really sure what to go with. I know I want something silver or hyper silver. Size, I'm thinking 18s. I want to keep a comfy ride for sure |

are you running stock RFT? i can tell you from my experience. 18s with stock RFT, ride was harsh. then i moved up to 19s with michelin PSS, it rides WAY smoother, more comfy even tho they are 19s. don't limit your choice because of that. tires do play a big role affecting the ride overall.

i donno yet... they were still too new... only riding on them for about 2-3 months. but according to Michelin, PSS has a 30k miles warranty... they tend to last a lot longer than the PS2.

Those are sexy Jay! Were they CF and you had them painted?
I'll put those on my list following Mtech rear, CF front lip, and Arkym rear diffuser.

Based on what your describing, 18" might be the way to go. I went 19" due to looks but 18" are nice for the comfy ride and cost. You also get a little more cushion when hitting potholes. Don't get me wrong, I would still would do 19's, but to each their own. Lastly, Eric is right about RFT. Regular tires will have softer sidewalls. |

Anybody have recommendations on tint types/percentages/shops?
I'm looking to get tints but don't want to go too dark and get hassled by cops. Are the cops up here pretty strict? I'm thinking either 50% or 35% all around. Car is Le Mans Blue for reference. Thanks in advance. |
