Case for Shane335i

I'm not sure how to contact a moderator on here, but I'd like to make a case to re-instate Shane335i who was recently banned on these forums for advertising without permission or something. If you're near the VA area, Shane just wants to help out. He does all of the work on my car and his pricing reflects the fact that he's here to help guys out locally. He's a master AMG technician, and a full time mechanic, and he's made it actually possible for me to afford the maintenance and work on my car. He's not a shop turning a big profit on these forums...he did my oil filter housing gasket today, knocked it out in exactly one hour in his driveway, and asked me for literally a small % vs what literally any shop will charge for that job. I'm just here to vouch for a really good dude, so if anyone else knows Shane make a post below to support.

This is how they force people to go out of this forum and make an own website or fb group. Sorry for your buddy, but he is not the only one. New people get here only to find some local technician to help them out for cheap. The admins cleaned all threads and do no favor for the newcomers. "Well" done ...

^ Nailed it. They want those "people" who to pay for a premium account. Its all about money to them. I feel bad for your buddy. He can use a proxy/vpn and create a new account if he's ip banned lol.

I also vouch for Shane335i. He is a great guy and a even a better mechanic. As I was thinking about selling my 335 after meeting him it was very affordable to fix and add mods to the car. Now has me considering buying a newer BMW!! If you are looking for BMW service in the NOVA area I can put you in contact.

Please send me a PM for Shane? I'm on the verge of selling the 335i with all the headaches recently.

Yeah haha he mentioned this to me the other day if you're the same guy, that he did all these bolt ons and you're ready to ditch the 335i. Don't blame you, mine is suddenly exploding too. Suspension creaks and rattles, possible HPFP fail, possible ABS and/or steering pump failure, just had the OFHG done...drives me crazy too man. I'll send you his number

I mean if he wants to use the site to advertise his services then he has to pay to be a vendor just like every other company.

He's not a company, just a skilled mechanic helping guys out at extremely good rates in his driveway/buddy's garage when it's available. I see your point I guess, it just seems like a loss on the forums for noobs like me to not be able to find guys like Shane to help out on the money pit that is the 335i.

If he is advertising services for his business then he has to pay to do so. I am sure there are plenty of local Facebook group that he can do that for free in. You could also share his contact info for others in your area.

I had the opportunity to meet Shane last week. A good person with a razor-sharp mechanical skill set. If you need assistance with your car, he is the guy to reach out to.

I am planning to go see him Sat for some maintenance. I would be more than happy to relay the message and pass the word or contact information over to him.
