Downloaded a CiC hard drive image for impending experimentation into removing the emulator.

Replaced the camber arms in the back, couldn't get one of the toe arms off due to a bolt seized in the bushing, so one old and one new back there right now. Changing the front thrust arms/lower rear control arms now.
Alignment shop tomorrow, hoping they can get the other old toe arm off the back.
So close to being back on the road.

Get a Dewalt air gun, some Kroil Oil & a torch with yellow gas. You will get it off one way or the other. I'd start by soaking it overnight with Kroil Oil & using the Dewalt air gun. If no go, start heating it up and keep trying with the air gun. It will come out at some point. Hit it once in a while with a 8# mini-sledge too.

Been there done that. I live in Michigan where we use salt on the roads in the winter. I've replaced every single suspension component on the 335i.

Seized bolts suck, but it will come out.

They're the best looking sidemarker design, in my opinion. I have the OE-style clear ones instead of smoked, but yeah.

Going strong for two years!

Trouble is the nut is on the accessible side, and came off easy. the bolt is up inside the rear subframe with a bunch of crap around it so i can't get my impact onto it, at least without a lot of weird extensions and universals and so on. I'll try again this weekend when I have it back in the garage to do the brakes.

For now, though... The car is aligned!!! Came out straight (thanks to the Manza camber and toe bars that i was able to install, and a good pull with a pry-bar on the front right strut mount to get rid of the positive camber there)

It hasn't felt this solid and sure-footed in probably 4 years. Guess those worn out front thrust rod bushings were really screwing with the road manners.

Replaced regular mirror with Homelink mirror tonight (EC/LED/GTO/Compass). Compass and EC worked right away. I'm going to calibrate it anyway this weekend just in case it doesn't have the correct magnetic region setting. Next step is to put in the VO codes (319, 4NA in my case), then setup security gate & garage door openers. I don't have an alarm system in my car, so I'm not sure if the LED will blink or anything without it. Fun little project. The next project for me is to add front & rear PDC to my car (waiting for all the parts to arrive).

Lower the subframe about 4" and see if that helps. If not, then take the subframe out of the car.

That's what I did.

Once the rear subframe is out of the car, doing the control arm bushings, subframe bushings & diff bushings are easy, IF YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TOOLS.

While I got my snow tires on, I took my regular wheels to a tire shop and had them balanced.

Sold my 2010, worked on NBT Evo project, got an alert that my front right turn signal is out... it is an LCI/LED turn signal. Not looking forward to tearing that down to investigate...

Added a dash cam! I wrapped the cable in fuzzy tape like the OEM wires, ran
it through some slots I made in the mirror clamshell, into the headliner, down the A-pillar above the airbag, behind the dash and into an almost-flush-mount car charger below the glove box. It turned out pretty well!

Drove it in light rain

Then cleaned the wheels including the barrels. Serenity now!

Reassembled the interior and drove it around for the first time in over 2 years. Would have gone together quicker if I was the one that tore it apart.

Still gotta chase down why I'm not getting sound from the radio and why the top doesn't work, or why the windows don't lower slightly when I open the doors.

Not really today but over the past two weeks I've done carbon leather interior trim, euro tail lights, M3 rear sway bar, and walnut blast.
