335i PE Backbox Mod Group Buy List From Pg 3 - Exhaust work done! Pg. 9 :)
Looking for someone to cut off my old tips and weld on my new Cyba tips that I got from Old Grey Steve
Went to a specialist in Kenton and they said it'll take around 2 and half hours so it'll be £200+... I know I'm no expert but that's a bit much to cut off the tips and weld on new ones right? How much should I be looking to pay? I was thinking around £100 lol... I don't mind travelling upto 100 miles if I get a good deal and workmanship... Anybody know someone? Also, I wanna do this: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=739970 basically a nice mod to do to the backbox... any idea on how much it'll cost to do this?? If all this costs too much, I might just get a custom made backbox from someone like LongLife...

Make sure it's TIG welding.
AMD in West Thurrock did mine, think it was about £60 IIRC.

+1 for Style Dynamics. Same place I got mine done. Average Pricing, not the worst, not the best but good quality.

Iv spoken to every powerflow shop in the area. None are willing to cut an exhaust backbox open. Which is why I sourced another guy. It took me hours of calling around to find someone that was willing so hold tight and ill get and answer asap.
The guy ill be using works for the Kit Car company Dax and makes thier mental looking exhausts all day so can handle this job no problem. |

He also wants the PE mod done if you read his hole post mate. No one will do it that iv spoken to apart from one guy that builds exhausts for dax.
I will keep all updated. He said he will cut mine open On the 12th and have a crack. Ill take lots of pics for everyone to asses his work and then will give you guys prices and contact info. Sorry about the wait to do it but I think we're in good hands with him if you see some of the exhausts he's made recently. If you guys can hold on to exitement wee for that long ill get it all sorted for us. Lol |

I've also been looking into this. I asked a place in st albans. They said they will do it pricing will be sorted after mine is done. Im not sure what cost will be which is worrying but better than paying for a performance exhaust when all it seems to be is just a straight pipe in place of a perforated one.
