Question for the group about pricing on this 07 I found - here

I get that it has low miles (88K) it is a desirable RWD version, and a fair amount of repairs/maintenance has been done; but with the age and cosmetic blemishes, I feel like I would expect to pay somewhere in the ballpark of ~10K? or am I completely off base here? Just curious what everyone thinks is reasonable for this guy.

This one is a 2009 and it is an XI, but has similar mileage, for $10k.
https://newlondon.craigslist.org/ctd...037708820.html
This one is stripped down... no comfort access, no pdc, no leather, no electro-chromatic mirrors, non-sport etc

but it has the dealer markup.

So, yes, I'd say 14k for a scratched up RWD 07 is way too high.

Thanks for that - just making sure I wasn't staring some white whale in the face or something that would warrant the price. RWD/manual is nice, but with the scratches, rips and dings, it definitely seems way too high.

Considering the condition/miles of the one you posted, I'd almost say offering 10K is too high as well. I can definitely deal with the cosmetic blemishes, and its the color scheme and transmission I'm after; but if he thinks its worth 14K, he might be offended with an offer at almost half that. is something like 8K reasonable?

Trouble is that it *is* rare... RWD / manual only pops up once every few months.
Some people will pay that high for one... I won't... I paid 15k for my 6MT with 100k *7 years ago*. I think it is nutty to pay that much for one now.

I agree with @vilord - RWD with MT is super hard to find. Someone is going to pay full price for it. But not me.

It's been on the market for several months, I'd price it closer to $8-$12k depending how rough it actually is. Given the specs, mileage + maintenance is a big plus on this one.. I paid $7500 for same spec but auto and 110k miles over the summer.

That’s fair. I already have an msport xdrive auto but settled for titanium silver but really want space grey rwd.

Would I be crazy to buy a stripped down auto xdrive wagon just to then replace the entire interior and add comfort access, just because the exterior is a color I like?

I really like Barbera Red, and see them so rarely in that color.

Or, should I buy a cheaper better specced car and get it vinyl wrapped? I'm tired of gray/silver/black/white bmws.

Adding comfort access sounds like an almost impossible task.

I agree with @ninetyeight740 that adding Comfort Access is a tall order. But changing colors is not something I would undertake. For me, RWD sport with black interior was my minimum. I’ll swap to MT when my AT dies ....

$8k is a bit of a lowball IMO, but the worst that can happen is he says "no". There will be other RWD MT e91s. It looks like he took care of it though, with most major maintenance addressed:
Quote:
new oil pan gasket, and new valve cover gasket (and Valvetronic gasket, Valvetronic sensor seal, ignition coils, spark plugs, tubes, etc.).
One missing here is the OFHG, which should be inspected and addressed (as well as belt & tensioner). Also the pano roof shade will need to be addressed/replaced; Austin humidity has gotten to the glue and showing signs of sag.

What's going against him are that it is a non-sport model, and pre-LCI, which tend to drive down the value as it will be comped to similar pre-LCI models (ca 2005-2009).

Well, I was outbid on a salvage car I was thinking to rebuild, maybe one of you ended up with it?

I ended up with a 102k mile single-owner 2009 xi/auto in Monaco Blue.

A few scratches, the sunroof doesn't work, and some jerk ripped the headlamp washers off.

Also after paying, it wouldn't start. Somehow the engine ground strap failed during the test drive.

Drove the 3 and a half hours home with a set of jumper cables under the hood to keep the alternator charging the battery.

https://www.valleyautosalesnj.com/20...J_36607408.veh

Non-sport, and the seats were as hard as i remember.

I'll swap in my old car's sport seats and steering wheel once I figure out new airbags for both.
Over the next few months, the M4 nav system, logic 7, rear seat sunshades, adaptive cruise, and rear view camera.

This is an excellent candidate for anyone looking! Needs some underbody pictures to gauge possible corrosion from road salt and a PPI, otherwise the pricing is in the right ballpark and a proper spec.

15K for an xdrive car without xenons or sport package or comfort access is the right ballpark pricing?
I know the car I just bought has a few scratches, and is an automatic, 2009, with 102k, but it has xenons and comfort access. I don't see this one being more than double the cost.

For comparison, this one from another member here is 14K at the moment and is only 40k miles :

Solid color combo, 70K miles, manual, cold weather package, comfort access, no iDrive - yeah I would take that any day over an auto xdrive with the sport package. I bet it would be pretty easy to knock $500-1K off that price and drive it home.

Okay, guess I see that, though it doesn't have comfort access, or cold weather, or xenons, and it has the crappy "stereo" audio system (no tweeters, no amp), and it is still xdrive...

*shrug*. I guess people will pay a multi-thousand-dollar premium for a factory 6MT? I personally wanted an iDrive car since I'll be putting the M4 idrive 6 system in it...
