Got a big heavy ass deep discharge for $109, group 31 size I believe. Gotta be like 75lbs. Good enough for me, it's not like $300 at the marine store. Weighs just as much and a few more reserve hours. IIRC almost all the batteries in North America are manufactured by like 3 companies and then all private labeled etc. The one I bought being manufactured by Johnson Controls, who interestingly is a customer at my work but a different division and I had a call with them an hour before I bought the battery yesterday. Small world.

Are we going to have a meet in May? I haven't heard how shitty my paint is in like a year bro.

I'm down for a Spring meet. Getting my wheels refinished & powder coated now, my resonators arrived yesterday (secondary cat delete, rasp is killing me), and then I'm doing coilovers early/mid May. Should be all dialed in for a late May meet.

Which endlinks specifically? I might have a solution/upgrade for you.

Someone buy these. Tires are basically brand new, all four have working TPM sensors, very minor curb rash on one wheel. Conti Cross Contact SSR, 225/45/17, RFT.

Nothing you wrote shows any red flags for me. If it is the right price and features you want pick it up.

Why?

Unless you want an LCI they are fine. Same engine and important bits.

No reason to buy a more expensive car with an n54 if your goal is speed.

Well that’s the thing, I would be buying this car to replace my daily. I know an N54 daily isn’t the wisest idea but they’re very reliable if you stay ahead of the maintenance. It’s a risky play without any service history, I guess I have to decide how much that risk is worth.

I'd say I've had more first model year issues being a 10/06 prod date. My advice would be to hunt out an 08 at the very least. Why don't you ever listen, Jon?

Like what issues specifically? I honestly can't think of one issue my n54 had that was because of it being an 07. N54s just need attention and $$$.

If you dont buy 07 get 09 so you get an LCI that looks more modern etc. 08 is a useless year and only adds cost as it is a year newer imo. Same shit as an 07 build afaik.

Do you anal detailing wizards agree?

I never thought the coatings were worth it. This just reaffirms what I suspected all along.

Swissvax only sells waxes so take it with a grain of salt.

Coatings have their purpose but if you're spending thousands at a shop to protect, film makes more sense providing absorption, healing, and longer life. The main reasons coatings look so good are the prep and correction beforehand. Seems to be marketed towards people who don't wash regularly or can't maintain a clear coat. I'd consider coatings for wheels a better investment but most OTS versions only advertise 1-2 year durability.

I have yet to find any coating bead as well as Sonax polymer netshield imo. I'd rather wash, correct and seal every 6 mos.

Oh they do!

Grade Name Grade Code Inches
Super Fine 0000# 0.001 25
Extra Fine 000# 0.0015 35
Very Fine 00# 0.0018 40
Fine 0# 0.002 50
Medium 1# 0.0025 60
Medium Coarse 2# 0.003 75
Coarse 3# 0.0035 90
Extra Coarse 4# 0.004 100

They also grade sand:

Did you know the study of individual grains can reveal much historical information as to the origin and kind of transport of the grain? Quartz sand that is recently weathered from granite or gneiss quartz crystals will be angular. It is called grus in geology or sharp sand in the building trade where it is preferred for concrete, and in gardening where it is used as a soil amendment to loosen clay soils. Sand that is transported long distances by water or wind will be rounded, with characteristic abrasion patterns on the grain surface. Desert sand is typically rounded.

People who collect sand as a hobby are known as arenophiles. Organisms that thrive in sandy environments are psammophiles.
