rt2 to 95S on ramp. Hit something, I think a pot hole(dark out 4:15AM on my way to the airport), and all 4 TPMS come on. It starts pulling the to the left and 20 seconds later loud thumping and then the tire flies off and I pull over. I was already in the slow lane...not fun.

Towed it to the place down the street. They are going to tell me if the wheel is ok. If so i'll buy another Michelin PSS. If not I go to rim pro...

It's basically just a big fucking hassle. I should be in Atlanta for a big meeting. I should have taken the other car.

Seriously!

Shop just called me, looks like the rim is fine, minor cosmetic damage(I don't think it will be visible with the tire mounted) New tire will be M&B tomorrow. Good thing these Michelin Pilot Super Sports are inexpensive! They better not be trying to charge me for a tire disposal fee.

Should I buy an M3 steering wheel? Anyone know if it's thicker than an M Sport wheel? I've searched and have read it's the same thickness but that the softer material of the M3's wheel makes it feel thicker (insert thickness joke here Torgus)

I had read that they were the same thickness and the only difference was M3 wheel has napa leather throughout while the m sport has perforated leather

Next NED meet you can check out the steering wheel on my m...Bring one of those tailoring tape measure things and check the circumference or whatever. Any of you guys thinking a Friday May 8th meet up there? Weather should (hopefully) be good at that point.

So basically you prefer something thicker in yours hands when you are 'in the driver's seat'. Suspicion Confirmed.

In other news the tire is back on and I had them do an internal patch on one of my rears as it picked up a nail in the middle of the tread.
