The 1M Flywheel fitted to the N55 335i

Does anyone know if the lighter flywheel from the 1M will fit the N55 335i Looking at ECS tuning, the fitment looks the same. Here are the links...

1M Flywheel:

I've scoured the forums but can't find anyone who's had success. I understand it won't fit the older n54 335i but can't find anyone talking about it on the n55.

I'd think it's interchangeable since the 1m uses the n55 transmission. Don't think the engine .atters since 1m is 6 bolt like everything else produced post 2007.

Thanks. I'm of the same thought but I'd really like to hear from someone who's done it before I go ordering the parts.

Go to one of the on line hop shops; ECS... Make it look like you are ordering the flywheel. There always is a list of car model number and years that the part applies to. Answer given.

That only works if the parts swap is officially recognized by BMW. For that kind of compatibility check it’s easier to go to realoem and check across platforms. Regardless, this flywheel swap will show up as not possible even if it is.

I have April 2008 build with 8 bolts.

I've just gotten a 1M flywheel fitted to my N55 135i, I've paired it with a 335is/550i clutch. Feels great, just like standard in terms of NHV. I had an MFactory single mass flywheel fitted for about 400 miles and it was too much for me, so went back to a dual mass.

The DCT N54 and N55 (not 335is) share the same dual mass flywheel, so BMW are happy to interchange flywheels between engines.
