This is exactly why I had a pop at Evo a couple of months ago. The reviews are like Aeros - light and full of fucking holes!!! The Morego kit sounds interesting as they seem to have gone for the simplest set of mods they could in a strange order... I would have assumed Stage Two would be intercooler time! Matt |

I will certainly bow to the greater technical knowledge most on here have. I actually thought that the 335i did have sequential turbo's. I recall from reading reviews before I bought mine comments about one small turbo and one larger one in sequence which largely removed any lag.

No lag due to the size of the turbo's

Agreed - this is important for the logevity of the turbos. The right intercooler (with 1psi less pressure drop then stock) will actually allow you to run almost 13psi (0.8 bar + 1psi = 12.6 psi) with a tune and keep the 335i turbos working within stock parameters. At our altitude and typical ambient temps this is good for circa 380 bhp. I would also recommend an upgraded intake as per their stage 3 package.
By this rationale, 1 psi above stock parameters will enable you to break into 400bhp. Oh, and finally, I would go with catless downpipes (+ intercooler and intake) before I invested in a high flow exhaust as per their stage 2 package (presuming that this is a catback system). The cats in the downpipes are far more restrictive then the secondary cats in the exhaust. |
