DAMN!!! sorry to hear but sounds like you have to return to stock, but idk i think you could just pay it and be okay or something i dont remember.

damn.. i only work friday nights out of the week HAHA guess i wont join you guys. As for Fogo I went during Dine LA and it was pretty good other than all the parking people looking at my car pulling in cause I scraped pretty bad

state ref ticket! i got one when i had my e90! waaaaa paid $1000ish cuz ain't nobody got time to return everything back to stock and mod back again

i might be wrong because i'm new to california but i think the only thing they care about are emissions and tint percentage. as long as you don't chop off your exhaust and don't use limo tint you'll be fine.

Too bad almost all of our engine mods are emissions related.

I went back to my stock intake with a drop in filter. My engine bay looks 100% stock so if I ever have to pop my hood, nothing will give me away.

^ good point.

i can't even get to my intake without taking the engine half apart and nobody makes a drop in filter so i won't be doing that any time soon.

i just do simple tunes and cosmetic these days anyway. i don't keep cars long enough to do anything more with them.

^^^^That is what I did for my car DROP IN FILTER....I got busted in Ontario back in the day for street racing....I had to pay some heafty fines.....I have an exhaust to install but being lazy for past few weeks really havent gotten around to install

Only thing I want to really throw in is charge pipe with BOV....

yep pretty much cept in high school I got pulled over for painted reflectors but that was an exception by a well known total ****** cop, threatened to take me to jail for painted reflectors! hahahahahahaha

You might want to check with the State Ref and see what you need to do. I went to school at a place that had a Ref station and they do a full smog test along with visual inspection on cars that have been flagged so you probably will have to remove dps if you have them.

Even easier: Stay out of places with their own police department... It's LAPD and El Monte PD who makes sobriety checkpoints, Pomona PD does a lot of laser speed traps and license verification (at least you get a shitty little flashlight out of it if everything is current sometimes), and Burbank PD likes to over-exaggerate every fucking thing (like when I was 21 I was simply speeding by myself but the asshole gave me an Exhibition of Speed ticket, saying I was racing some white Acura when it's 3AM and the roads were empty

... Another lesson in Burbank: Never blaze past Coral Cafe, I later learned that it's their hangout). LA County Sheriff? At least in my 11 years of driving, not a damned thing in terms of excuses to trap you; the only LACS ticket I've ever gotten was a cop that happened to drive by me when I had a headlight burn out, but I showed him my order receipt and he let me go.

Also, I don't know if it still applies, but 2 years ago due to problems with CA state funding, weren't ref stations closed and therefore easily dismissed? Just a thought.

yes for the most part, san diego is the best I've experienced so far though, 4 years down there no front plate ever, 0 tickets, got pulled over once for no front plate in my clk500, cop told me that he loved my rims and my drop was perfect, said it was the cleanest clk he's seen on the road and then let me go

I did get a speeding ticket in san diego on the 52 though for going over 100 LOL fought it in court and won

Before this I drove an offorad xpipe highflow cat & 3'' muffler setup on my mustang. So about 6 years of driving til I got nailed for some exhaust.

You are 100% correct about the referee!!!! A cop even told me, " I'd send you to the state ref but we're too broke and dont have one" LOL. Wish that was sill true

Guess I'll cal and see whats up.

Also, REGISTERING IN NV so I don't have to deal with this shit
