Blue/White smoke from exhaust

Hello guys

I drive a BMW E90 with 137K on the clock. The car has been driving fine since I bought it 5 months ago however I noticed in the space of a few weeks that my oil levels started slowly started to drop and that's when I started observing only to notice that smoke is coming from the exhaust.

Any idea what could be causing this or what I can do to fix it?
