MHD Stage 2+ Data Log - For Review

Could you guys take a look at this 3rd gear log and let me know what you see in general? Looking for feedback on how this setup is working with MHD stage 2+ tune. 93 octane. Car has a few bolt-on's

A little more timing corrections than generally wanted on cyl 4. How old are coils and plugs? What kind of FMIC? That's a big jump in IAT for such a short pull.

I've not changed the plugs or coils since I purchased the car about 4,000 miles ago.

I plan to order some NGK 97506 before trying an E30 tune

Intercooler is a BMS which is barely any upgrade over stock. I've been looking at the VRSF HD's either 5" or 7.5"

This tune is a little too aggressive for your current setup and octane. The DME is doing its job and pulling timing.

Ok, thanks. I see what you mean. Looking at the timing corrections, up to -7.2 deg.

What kind of DME timing corrections would be considered typical?

Random 3 degrees but not consistent or on all cylinders.

Ideally none but you'll often end up leaving some power on the table then.

Ok, got it. Thanks

I'll back the tune off to a 91 OCT Stage 2+ or Stage 2 and see how it runs using the same 93 octane pump gas

A little better. This is a Stage 2+ 91 OCT tune running 93 octane gas

* For most of 2nd gear -3deg. timing is being pulled. Mostly on cylinders 2,4,6
* IAT increase 14 degrees. in 5.2 seconds after beginning the pull
* Boost is low/off-target by 3psi @ 6000rpm
* AFR is about 12.3 after 4500rpm

Personally I'd back it off further and try the Stage 2+ 91 ACN file. 2nd gear logs don't put enough load on the motor and in 3rd gear you are seeing 5.7 being pulled on cylinder 4.

They switched to winter gas blend (has more butane) on September 15th. Has a slightly lower octane reading and burns differently than summer gas. I'm running the stage 2+ 91 ACN file in NH just for that reason. Logs look much better too.

2008 335xi
17T turbo's, downpipes, intercooler, fuel pump upgrades, -12 injectors, MSD 2+ 93 Octane tune.
