Q for those who have Ohlins coils installed
Just wondering if this washer circled in red from the pic is really necessary. The shop that installed my Ohlins forgot to install them.

Sure, it'll prevent the nut from backing out.

Has nothing to do with nut...
It is necessary because it acts as a spacer between the bracket and strut. Take your wheels off and slap on the washer. Quick and easy.

That's funny, the guy helping me install the Ohlins didn't put those washers on either because he thought they were redundant but I had read the specific caution about them in the manual and then later I saw them still in the bag after shocks were installed. I didn't want to take any chances so we put them on, not too much trouble to go back an do though...
