Constantly replacing Eccentric Shaft Actuator Seal

I am constantly having to replace the Eccentric Shaft Actuator Seal on my 2009 BMW 328i. It leaks oil because the rubber tears around the center metal piece. This repair has been done three times in the last six months. I have used the Elring 11127552280 from FCPEuro which is OE. Am I making the same mistake over and over? I am considering trying the Mahle B32654 to see if it lasts any better. Any advice?

agree. might be a crack.

Ive 276k km on my engine, only changed once, and indeed it was a Mahle. I try to use Mahle on all my cars, it never fails twice (yet).

still on OEM cover.
