Upgrading from HiFi system. Questions

I currently have the HiFi system in my '11 E90 sedan. I'm planning on upgrading all the speakers and adding 2 10" subs along with a 4 channel amp and monoblock amp. I ant to keep my factory HU the way it is so my question is would I be able to splice the HU wires from the factory amp harness in the trunk?

Should I splice into the speaker wires and run them to the amps or should I splice into the HU wires that come from the HU to the harness that control the speakers? What is the difference in these wires? I am going off the pic that was stickied fo re90 wiring diagrams. See below. Thanks guys.

oops
You shouldn't splice anything buy a Technicpnp harness for Hi fi.
https://technicpnp.com/
This will give you access to all Input and Output Wires without cutting
anything.

See the links in entry 3 in the following thread.

This is absolutely awesome information and exactly what I needed, Thank you so much! The only question I have is if I go with a Technicpnp harness I am limited to the type of amp I can use? What if my amps are not balanced input amps?

that is not a function of the harness . this is a function of the head
unit.(The OUtPUt of the Head Unit is differential)
You can get double to single signal converters
Although the reverse is more common.
but most good amps will take either input.

Check the amp specs .
differential outs are like reduced speaker outs.

my favored brands are Helix/Match from audiotech fisher, Mosconi or Jl Audio.
There is more of a track record here with those.
