Slow Cranks..

I purchased my 2011 335i N55 with 67K on the clock. At the time of purchase I noticed the slow, not long, cranks and didn't think anything of it. I figured just replace the battery and call it a day. I bought a middle grade battery from Autozone and registered it with the Carly App. Days after I started noticing slow cranks again. Took it in and had one of the guys test it, it was fine, I thru a big enough bitch fit that they gave me credit towards the biggest baddest they had. Registered it, slowly after it started with the slow cranks again.

It ALWAYS starts. Sometimes longer than others. Car already has a new HPFP in it as well.

To the videos we go! First vid is after it's been sitting at work all day. Second is me cranking it after the first crank.

I was thinking HPFP as well but it's already been replaced. I know that doesn't eliminate it from the possibility. I need to have someone start the car while I check the voltage drop. Starter is only around a 100 dollars so I wouldn't mind trying that.

When is the last time you had a walnut blast done? Its recommended you do one every 30k miles.

As far as I know, it is still recommended to have valves cleaned on an N55 just not as often as N54.

So, I changed my oil last weekend. Switched from Mobil 0w40 to Motul 8100 X-Cess 5w40 and she's been firing up smooth as butter all week. I even left it outside yesterday to test it out. We've been having below freezing weather and she started right up.

Call it solved or me talking crazy, but this is the only thing I've done to the car and it's been fast cranks all week.
