Removed Rear Muffler
Well yesterday when i had the car up on the lift doing the suspension, i though i should try taking the muffler off to see how it went(either way i had to in order to get the left shock bolt out). I put the car down from the lift and i went around the block and i love my new suspension, but then when i got on the gas the car with the muffler off felt like a new beast, its not even loud. The day before that i had put in the BMS DCI and the BMS JB3 with the 1.4Beta and it was a monster. Taking the muffler off really woke the car up even more. What are the negatives of this ?

I don't know about adverse effects but I would like to see some pics and hear some sound clips if possible.

I replaced all my exhaust parts with stainless , RR catted DPs , RR mid pipes (rear cat delete) , supersprint x-section and Remus quad mufflers ...
When making the supersprint ready for fitting I also drove a bit without anything from midpipes and midpipes and x-section with out anything else but pipes ... sound horrible with just the midpipes , to noisy and loss of torque , with the x-section added it was a different story less tractor sound and quite fun to drive you feel it at the end of the RPM really strong. But now I got it all fitted , the remus quads have a nice 60% less backpressure on exhaust and you need some of that to get that low RPM torque . |

OP you had put the JB3 in only a day earlier - it is probably still adapting hence the huge performance difference.

Yes the police are a problem i got pulled over on i95 and i know it was because of my exhaust .....maybe the montego "pull me over" blue didnt help lol.I thought my car was a freak when i cut the muffs off but i think its the sound that makes the driving experience more fun.My uncle just cut his mufflers off a C6 ls2 and we lost like 3whp but the car feels faster lol.
