i am still so trumped by this whole dilemma - really want a 335is but think its more logical to get a 335 w performance suspension then mod it accordingly as tuners adapt ...

plus its a bit cheaper and i really hate those black mirrors and not a fan of black tips on exhaust either, lets start a GROUP BUY on color-matching mirror covers!!!

"New gray-painted, split-five-spoke wheels are the only change to the chassis, despite the extra power—there are no tweaks or modifications to the suspension or brakes."

it is the regular sport suspension, nothing new ... shitty

September 2013. Again, this assumes the E9x timeline continues to follow the normal BMW cycle.

There seems to be conflicting info about if the suspension gets changed. The majority of the sites seem to say no change but then the autoblog preview says the exact opposite and with relative detail:

"BMW has also firmed up the springy bits underneath to help deal with the 335i's added aggression. An off-the-rack M-suspension pack drops the ride height by 10 millimeters and stiffer shocks and springs have been substituted"

Who should I believe?

The Coupe's suspension is standard M-sport..ie NO CHANGE

The Vert's is improved.. ride height is dropped and firmed.. It is the E93 version if the 335is that is most changed/improved..

"Because 335i coupes come standard with the sedan's M Sport suspension anyway, there is virtually no change to the hardtop's chassis specifications, but the convertible is lowered 0.4 inch and its spring and damper rates are firmed up to coupe/M Sport specs. Coupes and convertibles get 335is-specific five-twin-spoke wheels as standard, with 19s optional."

Would the 18" style 313 wheels be available as either rims only or rims/tire package for the e90? I know that there is a 19" package already available but I am just curious. If so, would it fit the e90 without problems?

Thank you
Tony

if I remember correctly the wheels on the rear of the e92 are a bit less aggressive than the e90's so they should fit but might need some small spacers to be pushed out how most people want them to look.

suspension is 704.

IMO it is pointless for them to do anything. If you are serious about suspension you are going to replace everything anyway. If not, then standard 704 Msport suspension is fine for the street with rfts.

So: 335is w/DCT via ED ($47k) + LSD (2k) + M3 suspension parts (2k) + springs&dampers (2k) + forged rims&non-rfts (2k sell OEMs) = 55k.

Great car, but I am so happy with my current E90 that it is an easy wait to see what the ttM3 will be like, or the Z2.
