Code out Adaptive Headlights?

Greetings,
I am still pretty new to coding but have had pretty good luck so far. This all started with an injector going bad...

Using IMPALOAD I was able to code my injector without issue

Then I figured what the hell, I have the cable!
Since then I have been using NCSEXPERT and have coded folding mirrors, removed seatbelt dings, removed IDrive startup warning, digital MPH, etc.

Now a few months ago, moisture found its way into my pass headlight causing the famous adaptive headlight failure... My question now is what do I need to do to remove this check from my car? I have searched for the past day or so and have not found much in terms of a DIY. I have read that I need to remove $524 from VO but I have NO idea how to do this... YET!

CN555IC,
Your the man! This is exactly what I was hoping to see.
So with the PDF example, they are adding $655 into the VO. Is it safe to assume that I need to find $524 in my list and simply delete it and then follow the rest of the steps in the guide?

Thanks again,

Yes but in our cars, it's not the LMA but the Nfrm module that needs to be coded along with Cas

So I can get to the ADD screen but can not delete the $524...
I will keep searching but if someone has an answer on how to delete I would appreciate it greatly.

OK, so the problem was that I am running virtual PC on a MAC and my keyboard does not have backspace. When in PC mode it sees my delete as backspace... Used a USB keyboard and I was able to delete $524 and run through the rest of my instructions (Including the NFRM part instead of LMA).

I have also changed CHECK_SMC_ERROR in the NFRM to nitch_active to turn off this check.

I still have the Addaptive error... Double checked and $524 is no longer in my VO...

Do I need to remove/clear the stored error code from the car? Or is there something else that I have missed?

Thank you for your help and patience.

If I am remembering correctly you need to recode your CAS and NFRM so they will update with the new VO data.

Sounds like you just deleted the VO... you then need to FA_Write to CAS and NFRM/FRM, THEN recode them (All of these steps in expert mode).

Please read the DIY and instructions carefully first before half coding your cars

Grant,
I switched CHECK_SMC_ERROR to nitch_active when I did my initial coding (mirrors, windows, etc.) hoping it would eliminate the code. After deleting the option from my VO I went back and changed DYNAM_LWR_ENABLE to nitch_active.

So I should do the following:
1: Change CHECK_SMC_ERROR and DYNAM_LWR_ENABLE to active in NFRM using Expert Mode
1: Ensure that $524 is deleted and FA_Write (again) to CAS and NFRM/FRM in Expert Mode
2: Code CHECK_SMC_ERROR and DYNAM_LWR_ENABLE to nitch_active in NFRM using Expert Mode

I have a feeling I have made this much more difficult than it has needed to be...

Thank you for trying to help, I truly appreciate it.

No between FA_Write step and your next one, you need to SG_Codrien the effected modules.

That's the point of VO editing... you shouldn't need to code individual lines after properly updating and programming from the VO.

Guys I have the same problem. I need to remove $524. I did it successfully for CAS. But, when I change ECU to FRM, I'm getting this error:

Error in CABD! Look at CABI.ERR and ERROR.LOG!

COAPI-2000: Fehler in EDIABAS oder in SG-Beschreibungsdatei
SYS-0005: SG-Beschreibungsdatei nicht gefunded FRM_87
COAPI-2000: Fehler in EDIABAS oder in SG-Beshcreibungsdatei
SG_CODIEREN

Please help me I've been stuck for 5 days now...
