They might be installed correctly, but double check first. It will be hard to see those during the daytime still since they are not nearly as bright as the LUX H8's

Even when the Weisslichts are installed properly - they aren't that brite (get washed out in the daylight) & the AE's are never gonna be lit up evenly due to the design (even with the LUX - but they are much better)

From my experience (trials) on my E92:

Factory Halogen --> well we all know they suck

GP Thunder V2.0 8500K Xenon Platinum White Halogen
12V/35W 'HID Look' Halogen - yielding 60W

• Daytime Vis: Not much better than stock
• Nighttime Vis: Better than stock, but not great
• Even Distribution: NO - same as stock
• Pros: Can change color with different K values, EZ install, cheap pricing
• Cons: Poor daytime vis, uneven distribution

MTEC 4750 Cosmos Blue White Halogen
12V/35W 'HID Look' Halogen - yielding 65W

• Daytime Vis: Not much better than stock or GP Thunder
• Nighttime Vis: Better than stock, slightly better than GP Thunder but not great
• Even Distribution: NO - same as stock
• Pros: Can change color with different K values & I particularly liked the color of these, EZ install, cheap pricing
• Cons: Poor daytime vis, uneven distribution

Weisslicht LED v1.0
(2) LED 12V/??W Emitters

• Daytime Vis: Better than all above so far, but not spectacular
• Nighttime Vis: Better than all above so far, but not spectacular
• Even Distribution: Slightly better than stock due to design
• Pros: Low power consumption, no errors or flickering, cheaper pricing for LED AE variants
• Cons: PITA to install, still uneven distribution, I had DS LED go out after 2 weeks and had to go thru warranty replacement
  

LUX H8 LED v2.0
Multiple LED 12V/??W Emitters

• Daytime Vis: Actually fairly good - best so far
• Nighttime Vis: Great - better than all so far
• Even Distribution: Best of all so far due to design
• Pros: Fairly EZ install, good daytime vis, great nighttime vis, best dist so far, low power consumption, no errors or flickering
• Cons: Could not run power supply internal to headlamp housing as originally designed due to overheating, pricing a little high for some folks

NOTE: these are purely my opinions/observations based on my personal experience. I didn't bother to take comparsion pics because it is fairly difficult to set correct exposure to accurately compare - viewing by eye is better, & it is too easy to sway results toward one or the other based on the angle of the pic when taken.

>> I actually have a new set of Alpine 8000K True HID AE's waiting to install to compare, but haven't been able to get to them due to weather. From all reports & pics they will be the brightest of all during daytime & nighttime - maybe a little too bright during nightime for people's tastes.

I can say that their harness is very professionally done and the HID capsules they use are hi quality versions that run cooler than normal HID capsules.

>> Gonna pick up a set of the new LUX H8 v3.0's also - I would expect the same great performance as the v2.0's, but with the added convenience of internal mounting of power supplies due to even higher quality units

I am also going to turn in my v2.0's for conversion to v3.0's, but they are already sold to a buddy...

Well, it was no offense Marc, I just tried to be objective & report both the good and the not so good observations from all I tested.

Out of all I actually installed, the LUX was still the best hands down - and I wouldn't be ordering another set if I didn't like the 1st set

Well the last of my parts are going to be shipped to me this week, so it will take me some time to even get them built. I'm expecting to have them built by 3/1/11 but i dont think they will be ready much before then. If you want to take a ride up with Matt and Scott though i'd say definately - we can all go out and grab some food and hang out for a while!
