335 M-Sport or not?

I really like the M-Sport and if I order one, I will get an M-Sport.
I have seen a nice BMW driven M-Sport for $119k.
Another dealer has quoted me $123k for a new, zero km non M-Sport, but with 19" and DCT.

The large Melbourne dealer won't budge more than a couple of thousand on the M-Sport.
What do do?

Is it too much to ask to try to get a '09 M-Sport with DCT for $105k?

According to the last web published Price/Option list for the E93 (May 2009), the M Sport pac is $2760 (inc GST & LCT) for the 335i (or $5830 for the 325i). See attached price list.

So if you like it, go for it!

Does that mean you'll be changing your ID?

I wasn't after a new 335 at $110k drive away, a used, under 10,000km and it could be an '08. It must have DCT.
Also, not at drive away price, but ex dealer.
Systec reckons he paid $95k for a DCT coupe, so based on the difference and add a bit, $110k is about right, I thought.

At $119 and $123k they are asking for top dollar imo.. so if you're not prepared to pay that, tell them you're not interested and move on.

BMW Melb are notoriously the worst dealership to deal with. You get the price off carsales then call them up and they quote $15k higher than the advertised price like you are a complete moron.

The dealers in Brisbane are hurting a bit at the moment, so I imagine it would be the same everywhere.

You can get a 08 low km demo (auto not dct) for under 100k with a bit of bartering. I would imagine DCT and 09 would be slightly dearer than this. I definately agree with Chris G though, no more than 110k for brand new or close to it <1,000km drive away.

Keep in mind DCT won't handle tunes well because the tuners are US based. Also check out private sales... someone else's loss can be your gain. I got mine privately for 15k under asking price for example.

Good luck, you'll love the 335!

I recently bought a 6 month old 335i with DCT, metallic paint, roof and USB for less than 100K on the road from a Sydney BMW dealership so on that basis a M sport with the same spec should be doable at very low 100's.

systech - you did get a really good deal there!

I just realised that I didn't mention that I was after a convertible.

Convertibles cost about $12k more + the comfort access and 19" wheels. So about $108 - $110k for a 6 month old one is what I would like.

I have had a quote for a new one with M-Sport, DCT, 19", Hi-Fi, USB and comfort access for about mid $120k. The Melbourne dealer told me to buy it, as they can't come close on a new one and the used one isn't going to be $15k less. My wife reckons that if you don't save $20k off a new one, then you should get a new one.
